Ability to send to another person's iDevice

In future releases it would be great if users could send data from the desktop/web client (or even the iPhone/ iPod touch/ iPad app) to another user's iDevice?

The app Whatsapp (which only works with iPhone) uses your mobile number as the username and automatically searches your iPhone contacts to see if any of your friends have the app installed. If a username (mobile number) in your contacts matches a username (mobile number) on it's servers, that person is automatically added to your Whatsapp contacts.

Would it be possible to link myPhoneDesktop accounts to a mobile number, so users can send URL's, pictures, etc to other users in their contact list, directly from the web/ desktop/ mobile client? There may also be a way to do this using usernames instead of phone numbers.

  @Mark. This functionality is currently already in development pipeline and will be available in future releases.  Thank you for your suggestions.
