Growl is a Mac OS X system-wide notification system that sits silently in the background and notifies you via a customizable pop-up window when an event occurs. Growl notification window appears just for a few seconds and then vanishes.
There are a large number of programs that include native Growl support. myPhoneDesktop Mac OS X client fully supports Growl notifier and if Growl is installed you will see a notification window when your data has been sent to your iPhone/iPod touch.
If Growl installed prior to myPhoneDesktop Mac OS X client installation -- then it would be auto detected and Growl support would be enabled for you. If you install Growl after myPhoneDesktop has been installed then you can enable Growl Support by turning ON "Settings | System Options | Use Growl" option as illustrated in this screenshot:
Growl is very customizable (appearance, style, duration, etc). There are number of third party notification styles available or, if desired, you can create your own.
