How to export my address book to my iPad?

I want to export all the contents of the address book on my iMac to the iPad and I seem to  have read somewhere that it is possible. The available scripts do other things.

 

Can it be done?

If I understood you correctly then you can easily do this via iTunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386

Thanks Alex. I can't believe I missed that, but for some reason I had never clicked on the Info tab to reveal those other sync options.
